Glazed Hanukkah Donuts with a Raspberry Chia Jam Drizzle (Grain, Gluten & Dairy Free)

Today marks the fourth day of Hanukkah! AND it’s Friday!

And while I  love that Hanukkah is 8 days of delicious fried food, my pants feel a bit differently about the whole situation. They really don’t love it so much. Nope not even a little bit. Seriously, I had to do that bend and stretch and kick my legs dance to get my jeans to button.

Welp.

So while 8 days in a row of fried donuts seems like a bit much… I can’t NOT have donuts with jelly on Hanukkah!

Enter: glazed Hanukkah baked donuts with vanilla glaze and a raspberry chia jam.

These bad boys are SO yummy and so easy to make! I used Simple Mills vanilla cake mix and it takes less than 5 minutes to whip together the box mix, 10 minutes to bake and about 5 more minutes to make the toppings.

Super Bowl Snacks You Will Want To Make This Sunday (And Every Sunday After!)

Ah the Super Bowl is upon us! Let me start this off by coming clean. I must admit that last night when my mom asked me who was playing in the Super Bowl I responded with “I honestly have NO idea but did you hear that Beyonce is having twins?!”
So now you know, when it comes to Super Bowl Sunday I’m here for two things and two things only:
1) The halftime show (and maybe the national anthem like when the Bacsktreet Boys sang it in 2001)
2) The snacks
I love me a good super bowl spread. The dips, the chocolate, the fried everything, I mean let’s be real here, what’s not to love? It’s a day where you’re basically commanded to sit on the couch with a bunch of your friends in stretchy pants and eat a lot of food while watching TV. And

My Snack Obsessions of the Moment!

I’m a constant snacker – you will find wrappers in my purse, car, desk, bed and anywhere else that a snack can be consumed. I won’t leave the house without at least one emergency snack because in my world,  snacks > meals.

Since I’m always testing and trying out new snacks (often of the gluten free, dairy free, refined sugar free and paleo/paleoish variety), I wanted to share three of my new snacks finds with you!

(And by new, I mean I made this over the summer and in typical me fashion, forgot to post it… #oops BUT I still stand by these picks and figured better late than never to spread the snack love)

So here they are! Have a favorite snack to share? Let me know!

DIY Wedding Welcome Bags/How We Made Our Hotel Wedding Welcome Bags Personal!

This past June, I got married!

It was everything I ever dreamed of.  Surrounded by our closest friends and family it was a weekend we will never forget.

One of the most important things to me throughout the whole wedding planning process was how to make our wedding feel personal. I didn’t need my wedding to be “different” or over the top, I just wanted people to walk away from the weekend h  aving 1) danced their booties off 2) ate too much 3) felt our love for each other and 4) felt the personal touches that made our wedding feel like “Us”

So over the next couple of weeks I will share the ways we really strived to make our wedding personal and how you can too! I think a lot of people put focus on how to make their wedding different, but what makes your wedding different is that it’s YOU. There will be no

Chocolate. Enough said.

Let me make this short and to the point: I like chocolate. Like a Backstreet Boys song, I’ve rarely met a piece of chocolate I didn’t like.

But in my attempts to eat paleo(ish) and therefore avoid cane sugar, and since sooo many chocolate bars have soy lecithin in them (uh, thanks but no thanks)

Airport Win!

I’ve been in Orlando the last few days covering the Zumba convention (more on that fun insanity later!!)

Normally when I travel I look like a mom of seven (only these would be seven children who have a penchant for healthy grub and reads that are less Harry Potter and more Eckhart Tolle).
