My Snack Obsessions of the Moment!

I’m a constant snacker – you will find wrappers in my purse, car, desk, bed and anywhere else that a snack can be consumed. I won’t leave the house without at least one emergency snack because in my world,  snacks > meals.

Since I’m always testing and trying out new snacks (often of the gluten free, dairy free, refined sugar free and paleo/paleoish variety), I wanted to share three of my new snacks finds with you!

(And by new, I mean I made this over the summer and in typical me fashion, forgot to post it… #oops BUT I still stand by these picks and figured better late than never to spread the snack love)

Hi Folks!!

A while back I posted about the homemade Brookies I made and I’ve been asked by a lot of people how I make them. Others have told me they’ve since made them and brought them to parties and that they were a hit- I LOVE hearing this!! The whole reason I started this blog in the first place is to share what I love in hopes that you and your friends, families, and strangers you meet on the street, love it just as much as I do! And really, what’s better than sharing the love of cookies meeting brownies meeting (gluten free) oreos and a whole lot of other chocolate goodness?! That is real, true love!

For me, back in the days of Lisa Frank folders and Kipling backpacks, I loved a good old visual aid to help my learning. So I figured why not make a fun visual aid on how to make these Brookies even easier for you

And a Happy Early Halloween to you.

This is the time of year that everywhere you turn, cute little miniatures are taunting you. “Eat me” screams the mini Milky Way in front of your assistants desk. “I’m sooo yummy” shouts the Snickers bar at Craft services.

But the truth is, aside from the fact that eating these miniatures on the regular between now and Halloween will lead us to feeling and looking not so miniature, these candies are chock full of ingredients that aren’t so good for you. And I’m not talking about from a weight perspective. They are chock full of the dreaded Ingredients You Can’t Pronounce to keep them shelf stable so that you could save your leftovers for next Halloween and hand them out to unsuspecting kids.

How gross is that? When you really think about it. You can save you Halloween candy until June and it will still be the same. Food is supposed to go bad and
