HELP! I have a new snack addiction and I can’t. stop. eating.

It all started last week when I was in San Diego and after a less than satisfying dinner we sauntered over to Jimbo’s… Naturally – a market I could spend hours (and lots of dollars) in- to pick up something for what I like to endearingly call “Dessert Party!” we settled on chocolate peanut butter coconut milk ice cream from one of my favorite brands Luna & Larry’s Coconut Bliss but that’s not what this post is about.

No, this is all about the little box I saw right before the check out line (those grocery people know what they are doing!) and had to add into my cart.  It was a box of Puffins. But not just ANY box of Puffins, no this was a limited edition box of PUMPKIN Puffins! And for those of you who have never had yourself a Puffin and are wondering what all my huffin and puffin is about, let me give you a little back story: you see, I once went through a Puffins stage way back when I made my first foray into gluten free and I couldn’t remember why I stopped keeping them around.

That is until, I brought this box of Pumpkin Puffins home:

And had about three bowls. Within a time period really far too short for one person to consume three bowls.

And then I remembered why I stopped bringing home Puffins all the time. Because Puffins (and my lack of self control) were making me Puffy.

But, the good news in this story? Well both good and bad- Pumpkin Puffins are a limited edition item so I know they won’t grab my attention in the grocery store for much longer.

If you haven’t tried them, I highly suggest you do (clearly) while you can still get your hands on them.  And might I suggest adding a sprinkle (or more than a sprinkle) of  non-dairy dark chocolate chips to your cereal bowl??? You’re welcome!
